This week in Lynchburg (Sep 30-Oct 6)

105 or so events this week. October comes in with a run of openings: The Prince of Egypt starts its four-day stage run at the Historic Academy Theatre on Thursday, the Candlelight Tours begin at Old City Cemetery the same night, and Friday is First Friday, with a juried ceramics show, a portrait show reception and ghost portraits at the library. Saturday's the fullest day, from Day at the Point out at Point of Honor to a Hispanic Heritage celebration at the Warehouse Theatre and a five-band heavy bill at Super Rad. The pumpkin patch on Fort Ave is open every day, and Shining Star Karaoke has moved its Vault night to Wednesdays.
