It's the big one. Two fireworks nights to plan around: the city's free show over the Riverfront around 9pm Friday (capping the all-day Independence Jam), and the Howlers' game at City Stadium on Saturday, the only fireworks in town on the 4th itself. Around them you've got Poplar Forest's 1800s-style Fourth, a free all-day party at American Legion Post 16, a patriotic Flag Walk downtown, Endstation's outdoor Shakespeare, MasterWorks' orchestra at Liberty, and all the usual markets, mahjong and live music. It's going to be a hot one, so the 🔵 flags the indoor, air-conditioned spots if you'd rather beat the heat inside. Here's the whole weekend:
